About me…

Maggie Booth is a visual artist based in Reston, Virginia, whose practice spans ceramics, drawing, and collaborative projects, all informed by her strong foundation in printmaking and book arts. Her work blends a distinctive, nature-inspired voice with a deep commitment to community. Shaped by empathy and a meditative process, her art reflects a concern for the environment and a dedication to building meaningful connections within and beyond the studio.

In addition to her studio practice, Booth is a gardener and arts educator. She maintains a native home garden and leads a public art garden at a local elementary school, where she directs an arts enrichment program for students in grades K–6. These commitments reflect her care for people and the environment, central themes throughout her work.

Booth holds an M.F.A. with Honors and M.A. in Printmaking from the University of Iowa, a Graduate Certificate in Book Arts from the University of Iowa Center for the Book, and a B.A. with High Distinction in Studio Art and Psychology from the University of Virginia. Her work has been exhibited nationally and internationally and is included in both public and private collections.
